Sitting on our couch in my #5 Joe Flacco jersey while gleefully watching my Baltimore Ravens clinch their spot in Super Bowl XLVII was so rewarding.  Even in Upstate NY, far away from the loyal fan base in Maryland, I could feel the warmth of my fellow fans from afar via social media.  But that was when I was inside. As a lonely Baltimore fan in the middle of the NY, NE and Buffalo collision of teams, I almost want to hide my colors when I walk outside.

I can cower in the trenches fearing Goliath, or I can move out onto the field, wearing my colors NASCAR-style. I can walk forward like David, knowing I’m not alone.  I am who I am and I will be who I can be when I walk tall and strong in the world.
